Ocufluent I & II

Ocufluent I & II is inspired by the writings of the architectural historian, Kenneth Frampton. In Studies of Tectonic Culture, he highlights the connections between craft and architecture. Ocufluent pays homage to all who lost their lives and those still affected by the horrific events of 9/11. Textiles are appliqued and handstitched into open mesh banners with photographs of the Oculus at the World Trade Center. The outdoor installation was installed for ReGrowth by Karin Bravin. ReGrowth is an exhibition that featured over 20 artists with public art throughout Riverside Park throughout the summer of 2021.
