Gimme Shelter No 1
2014
Recycled Fibers & Tarp
4 x 6

Prototype for Gimme Shelter Project, 2014. Originally developed as a response to the 16% increase in homelessness in the state of New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy, the GSP grew into community gathering and "stitch-ins" throughout the state. Over 25 weatherized blankets with attached pillows, pockets and removable tarps were donated to the PERC Shelter in Union City for Global Homeless Awareness Day in 2015.
